Park Place Dealerships revealed its new mobile pop up at the 2019 DFW Auto Show this past March. The Mobile Experience Unit will be used across DFW at events throughout North Texas to bring the Park Place brand directly to the automotive enthusiast.
“The mobile pop up gives us the opportunity to expand the presence of our brand beyond the parameters of the dealership,” said Dave Evans, Chief Marketing Officer at Park Place Dealerships. “Experiences play a huge role with customers today and are the main drivers of customer engagement. We believe the mobile pop up allows us to engage with the consumer wherever we want to take it.”
During the DFW Auto Show, the pop up will be onsite to deliver an inclusionary experience for everyone who stops to visit the Park Place area. The mobile unit has already provided innovative experiences for clients at both the 2018 Park Place Luxury & Supercar Showcase and at the COTA track.
Park Place continues to be an innovator in the automotive space by developing unique offerings to expose current and potential clients to the brands. In the past year, Park Place introduced and expanded Park Place Select, an automotive subscription service.

Would you be surprised to hear that the consumer (client) experience is shifting? Alves first heard about the program from his brother, who is also a Select Subscriber and fellow car enthusiast: “We are both car enthusiasts and enjoy the different beauty and performance that each car brings.” So far, his favorite flips have been Mercedes-Benz or Porsche models, but he looks forward to experiencing AMG performance with the simple click of a button. “I love driving anything AMG or supercharged! I’m hoping to get into a 911 or anything close to a supercar soon.
Of course, no service is perfect, so when feedback is provided, it’s important that the Park Place Select team recognizes opportunities to further enhance the Select experience. Alves noted that scheduling flips as of late has not been as easy as it was when the program first launched, a concern our team most certainly understands.

“The community has come out in force to support this event the last two years,” said Ken Schnitzer, Park Place Dealerships founder and chairman. “The third annual event will again showcase some of the most exotic and exciting vehicles that will please enthusiasts of all ages. What began three years ago as an engaging opportunity to celebrate our 30th anniversary has quickly turned into the foremost luxury lifestyle and automotive event in this region.”

Park Place Dealerships is expanding the successful subscription program, Park Place Select, to include a new, fourth tier (called the Premier Tier) offering supercars to Select Subscribers of that tier.
It may be the ultimate Valentine’s Day gift as one Texas dealership group expands their subscription service, Park Place Select, from three tiers featuring a collection of luxury vehicles to a fourth tier featuring supercars. Texas-based Park Place Dealerships, one of the largest luxury automobile groups in the country, will begin offering the Premier tier February 14 just in time for the perfect gift for that very special loved one.

Park Place Dealerships donates $55k Sprinter
to Salesmanship Club’s Momentous Institute
Rain or shine. Many outdoor events casually use the term, but few shine in the midst of challenges like the 2nd annual Park Place Luxury & Supercar Showcase did on October 13th at the Four Seasons Resort & Club Dallas at Las Colinas.
“It was an exciting day in a lot of ways,” said Ken Schnitzer, Park Place Dealerships founder and chairman. “The rain didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of guests and we were able to execute the Park Place Luxury & Supercar Showcase for the nearly 3,000 people who attended. Many of the private collectors brought their rare and pristine cars out to display them in the Collector’s Concours. The Porsche Club – Maverick Region came together to create an amazing Heritage Display to celebrate Porsche’s 70th anniversary. And we were able to support a wonderful charitable partner in a big way.”
The event benefitted the Momentous Institute, owned and operated by the Salesmanship Club of Dallas since 1920. Each year, the organization serves more than 6,000 children and family members through its nationally acclaimed Momentous School and innovative Therapeutic Services. Schnitzer presented Patton Chapman, Salesmanship Club president, with the keys to a $55,000 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van to help the organization with its transportation needs for the kids.
Throughout the day, guests saw more than $100 million worth of rare and unique vehicles from manufacturers, collectors and car clubs, including the first public display of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the iconic marque’s first ever SUV. Guests also enjoyed live entertainment, incredible food and beverages, as well as a Highland Park Village fashion show produced by Jan Strimple.
Parents even watched their kids play in the rain, driving miniature electric versions of Porsche, McLaren, Volvo, Bentley, Mercedes-Benz and Lexus vehicles on the pavestone path. Guests also had the opportunity to meet 16-year-old racecar driver Kinzie “Kiki” Wilson. Featured in her red, racing shirt on the right of her Corvette, the Mansfield Legacy High School Junior is also the Varsity Cheer Captain while maintaining a 3.95 GPA.

Douglas Schnitzer is certainly no stranger to Park Place Dealerships, but as he leads our newest revenue venture, Park Place Select, as the Director of Operations, a “get to know you” introduction was an absolute must. After going through a question-and-answer session, one thing is clear- Park Place Select is in very capable, intelligent, and extremely driven hands.
Where are you from? Born and raised in the Bayou City of Houston, Texas.
Who is your role model and why? My grandfather, Ken Schnitzer, Sr., who unfortunately passed away in 1999, remains a role model of mine to this day. He was a hard-bargaining businessman, a charismatic leader, and a generous philanthropist. He valued honesty, integrity, and loyalty, and he treated people with the utmost dignity and respect. These are also values that I hold in high regard, and I strive to emulate him in my life.
When did you begin your career at Park Place? I began my career at Park Place in 2010 as an Assistant Service Manager at Motorcars Dallas. After spending several years pursuing opportunities in other industries and obtaining a graduate business degree from the University of Texas at Austin, I rejoined the company in 2017 on the sales floor of Porsche Dallas.
What led you to join the Park Place Team? In many ways, the automotive industry remains fairly archaic and tends to abide by the mantra of “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Park Place as a company encourages and rewards innovation and is constantly looking for ways to improve in order to remain at the forefront of the industry, as evidenced by the new Park Place Select subscription service. There is a forward-thinking nature that permeates the organizational culture, and that is something I wanted to be a part of.
Can you recount a specific moment or experience that led you to the automotive industry? I can remember a trip to Dallas – I was probably 15 years old – when my father brought my brother and me by the Mercedes dealership, which was still on Oak Lawn at the time. Like any kid, I was completely enthralled by all of the cool cars. We ended up test driving an SL500, and when my dad let me take it for a lap around the block, I was hooked. I have been interested in the business ever since.
What passions do you have that have driven your success at Park Place? I tend to be very analytical by nature. As you know, this is a very complex business, and I have always enjoyed the challenge of diving into the data and financials to understand what makes companies tick. I am also so privileged to work and collaborate with a group of incredibly intelligent and visionary professionals who take great pride in the success of the company as a whole. Their collective enthusiasm is a great motivating force.
How did you become affiliated with Park Place Select? In mid-February, Mr. Grossman called me and asked if I could come to his office for a meeting that afternoon. I honestly didn’t have a clue what the purpose of the meeting was, but my eyes immediately lit up when he asked if I would be interested in helping lead Park Place Select, the new subscription business, which was scheduled to roll out in early May. This was a once in a lifetime chance to be involved with a cutting-edge business concept that will be transformative to the way consumers think about their transportation needs – it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.
How is Park Place Select going to be successful this year? Park Place Select will be successful by creating memorable experiences and meaningful moments for our clients. Through a passionate focus on service, our concierges will develop a strong rapport with our clients and be able to truly understand what is meaningful to them, in order to provide personalized service that exceeds their expectations.
What’s the key component of the Park Place Select experience? The key component of the Park Place Select experience is the flexibility and convenience afforded to the members combined with an unparalleled selection of vehicles. Through the user-friendly mobile app, we are able to match members with the perfect vehicle for any occasion. You could drive a Mercedes S-Class during the work week, flip into a Porsche Boxster for a Friday date night, then flip into a Range Rover for a weekend road trip. This is truly a revolutionary service that gives members the ability to meet the changing needs of their lifestyle without owning multiple vehicles.
Any additional comments regarding new programs and initiatives that we can look forward to in 2018? We are currently evaluating the possibility of adding a “Premier” tier to the Park Place Select subscription program, which would include many of the vehicles available through the Premier Collection, among others. Exciting times!
Park Place Select, an innovative alternative to traditional leasing and purchasing, debuted to the public May 1st, with the first three official flips being completed at 9 AM. It is the only program of its kind offered in Texas, and after a full week, we’ve already experienced the delivery of our first Maserati Ghibli, exceeded 100 flips, and witnessed a surprise birthday gift of a Mercedes C 43 AMG (and the whole Plus fleet) from one very thoughtful husband. The launch of Park Place Select was a resounding success, but more importantly, our subscribers are already sharing their own Select Stories, showcasing just how a luxury vehicle delivered to you anytime, anywhere can enhance simple moments and life-experiences.
Each initial delivery was unique as our concierge’s employ their training to provide exceptional and seamless flips for each of the subscribers. The Park Place Luxury & Supercar Showcase, which sold out in its inaugural year, is open to the public with tickets ranging from $25 – $50 for general admission and $100 for VIP All Access, including the VIP Lounge with complimentary food and beverages. The 2018 event will feature fashion from Highland Park Village, live music, specialty boutiques, and a Kid’s Concours area presented by Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, featuring the North Texas Diecast Collectors Club’s interactive Hot Wheels track, freshly popped popcorn, soda pop truck and games. Many of Dallas’ favorite food trucks will also be on scene providing a vast array of delicious options.

4. Maintenance and insurance are included in the monthly fee.

5. You can still participate and subscribe even if you live outside our service area.
Our service area applies to where we can actually flip your vehicle. Do you live in Rockwall, Prosper, or Denton but frequently commute to our Select service area? Each subscription allotts for 1,667/miles per month (20,000 per year), so as long as you are driving within 300 miles of our Plano radius point, you can then drive the vehicle to and fro until your next flip.
