Park Place Dealerships was proud to sponsor D CEO’s celebration of its second annual sports business special edition, The Power of Play, on March 10 at Southern Methodist University’s Armstrong Fieldhouse.

The event brought together more than 250 leaders from across the North Texas sports community for an evening that recognized the purpose, passion, and economic impact of sports in our region. From professional teams and business leaders to innovators shaping the future of athletics, the gathering reflected the strength of a sector that continues to influence how communities connect, grow, and thrive.
D CEO’s The Power of Play explores the ways sports shape careers, inspire communities, and create shared experiences that unite people across North Texas. The special edition highlights the universal drive to push boundaries, pursue excellence, and foster moments of connection through play.
Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed specialty coffees from Sweet Pours Coffee Bar, cocktails courtesy of Glenfiddich, a golf simulator experience provided by Game On!, photo moments with the MOTUS Photo Booth, sweet treats from Make Your Life Sweeter, and dinner from the SMU Hospitality Group.
One of the evening’s highlights was a lively panel discussion moderated by D CEO Executive Editor Ben Swanger, who conceptualized and developed the edition. The panel brought together an impressive group of sports leaders, including Clark Hunt, chairman and CEO of the Kansas City Chiefs and a major force in professional soccer; Nancy Lieberman, basketball Hall of Famer and trailblazing athlete and coach; Brian Ullmann, Executive Deputy Athletic Director for SMU Athletics; Rick Welts, CEO of the Dallas Mavericks; and Andrew Yaffe, CEO of Dude Perfect, for a conversation about leadership, innovation, and the powerful role sports play in shaping both business and culture.

As part of the sponsorship, Park Place showcased vehicles at the event, helping welcome guests and adding to the elevated atmosphere of the evening. Park Place Member were honored to be part of an event that celebrated not only the business of sports, but also the passion and community spirit that fuel it.
At Park Place, supporting moments that bring people together is part of who we are. North Texas continues to be a dynamic hub for sports, business, and entertainment, and Park Place is proud to stand alongside organizations and leaders helping move that momentum forward.
