Approximately 41 million people will travel farther than 50 miles or more from home over the 4th of July holiday weekend this year according to AAA. That is an increase over the same weekend in 2013 and more than 14 percent more compared to Memorial Day weekend.
Park Place Dealerships has invited clients to share their stories and photos of their travels in their cars over the holiday weekend on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #ParkPlace4th.
“We want to see how families use their vehicles to enjoy time together,” said Rob Sumner, marketing director of Park Place Dealerships. “Some families are going to the beach, visiting extended family, or exploring another part of the country so they will spend many hours in their cars. It’s fun to share pictures of road trips and we hope to see some fun photos.”
