2013 Porsche Panamera Available at Park Place Porsche Dallas

2013 Porsche Panamera, the premium class car, gives you everything you expect of a purebred Porsche in a four-seater with four doors. The Panamera lets you have it all.

Overview

The 2013 Porsche Panamera brings touring capabilities and sports performance together in the package of a quintessential Porsche with four doors and four-full sized seats for maximum comfort for journeys of every distance. “Because it’s so long, it can have four full-sized doors so rear passengers can easily climb in and out without incredible feats of acrobatic flexibility,” writes Kristin Varela in Cars.com.

The Porsche Panamera delivers the best of everything for the driver who wants a sedan and performance in one car. The design inside of the Panamera matches its sports car performance in that it looks more like a sports car than a sedan. The interior is so sporty that it takes stepping outside or turning around to see the back doors to remember the Panamera is really a sedan.

The luggage compartment in the new Porsche Panamera has a capacity of 15.7 cubic feet, enough to store four suitcases and take one out without reshuffling. Two uncommon features in this class are the retractable luggage compartment cover that conceals items in the trunk and the flexible folding back seats. Varela writes, “The Panamera’s cargo space is incredibly impressive. It swallowed everything we threw at it, even when we needed extra space to fit a large box for our puppies’ new dog run; the 50/50-split backseat folded nearly flat to increase the cargo space exponentially.”

The Porsche Panamera S raises the sportiness with a 4.8-liter engine that produces 400 hp at 6,500 rpm with a max torque of 369 lb-ft. This engine propels the Panamera S to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds and its top track speed – and remember this is a sedan – is 175 mph.

The base 2013 Porsche Panamera is no slouch with its 3.6-liter 6-cylinder engine that generates 300 hp at 6,200 rpm with a max torque of 295 lb-ft. Its 0 to 60 mph time a flat 6 seconds and its top speed is 160 mph.

With either car, you can’t help but want to find time alone with the Panamera so you can take it for a spin on the race track. Don’t compromise on your wish for an athletic and luxurious sedan. Go with the 2013 Porsche Panamera that meets your sedan needs, yet acts like a purebred sports car you crave. See the newest Panameras at Park Place Porsche Dallas.

Safety

Porsche stability management (PSM): As standard, all Panamera models are equipped with enhanced Porsche Stability Management (PSM), which maintains stability even at the limits of dynamic driving performance. Sensors monitor the direction, speed, yaw velocity and lateral acceleration of the car. If the car begins to oversteer or understeer, PSM applies selective braking on individual wheels to restore stability.

Lighting system: All models are equipped with a driving light assistant to automatically turn on the lights when it gets dark. As standard, the Panamera features halogen headlights with manual range adjustment. The Panamera S is equipped with Bi-Xenon headlights with dynamic range adjustment and a headlight cleaning system.

The lighting system features an automatic switch-off and the “Welcome Home” function, a customizable delayed switch-off timer that keeps the daytime running lights and the taillights switched on until you reach the door. LED daytime running lights are standard equipment on all Panamera models.

Braking system: 2013 Porsche Panamera models have a braking system equipped with six-piston aluminum monobloc fixed brake calipers at the front and four-piston aluminum monobloc fixed calipers at the rear. The brake calipers on the Panamera are finished in black and on the Panamera S models they’re silver.

Electric parking brake: As you pull away, the new electronic parking brake automatically releases. With the hill-hold function, you can pull away without ever rolling back. You can manually activate and deactivate this safety feature.

Airbags: All new Panamera models are fitted with full-size driver and front passenger airbags that are inflated in two stages depending on the severity and type of accident. In less serious accidents, the airbags are only partially inflated to minimize passenger discomfort.

With the push of a button, the electronic engine management system switches the engine mapping to offer a sharper response and engine dynamics that are more direct. In vehicles with Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) or Tiptronic S, upshifts in automatic mode take place at higher engine speeds than in Comfort mode and downshifts are swifter.

Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) also switch to SPORT mode to deliver harder damping and more direct steering and, therefore, more agile cornering.
