Park Place Dealerships partners with Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas for Public Event benefiting Momentous Institute

Within the family-friendly event will be a juried Concours Invitational Car Show featuring a diverse selection of rare supercars, luxury, sports, and classic cars from private collectors. Trophies designed by Dallas sculptor Brad Oldham, best known for the Traveling Man installation in Deep Ellum, will be awarded to Best of Show, Chairman’s Choice and People’s Choice winners. Park Place Dealerships is Now Your Place for Land Rover

As of July 1, 2017, Park Place Jaguar will have officially made the leap to Grapevine with an expanded inventory selection to now include Land Rover. Set right off 114, Park Place Jaguar-Land Rover DFW will continue to deliver excellent sales, service, and ownership experiences for Jaguar and now Land Rover enthusiasts alike.

“We currently have two dealerships, as well as a body shop in Grapevine,” said Ken Schnitzer, chairman of Park Place Dealerships. “Building a Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Northeast Tarrant County is a natural extension for our company as this market continues to grow. Jaguar has just introduced the new XE and F-PACE, the first SUV in the brand’s history. Land Rover is an iconic brand that introduced the first luxury SUV in the world and has a tremendous following.”

Park Place Jaguar Land Rover will feature a two-story, LEED-certified facility. The shop will include 30 service bays and 12 make ready bays. The showroom can accommodate up to 12 new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. A nine-car service drive and 2,800 square foot car wash will round out the areas dedicated to serving a client’s needs.

Park Place Premier Collection Reveals New McLaren 720S

The valet in front of the DEC on Dragon Street in the Design District resembled an exotic car show as a seemingly endless parade of McLaren, Porsche, Bentley and Rolls-Royce supercars arrived with a symphony of snarling and guttural engine notes. Park Place Premier Collection recently unveiled the new McLaren 720S, the second generation model in the Super Series segment, to an invitation-only crowd.

Guests enjoyed the Speedy Kiwi craft cocktail made with Reyka Vodka and modern bites like seared ahi tuna and lobster tacos while awaiting the electrifying reveal, which was orchestrated to a pulsating light show.

Designed with a new, lighter carbon-fiber chassis and powered by an astonishing 710 horsepower twin turbo, 4.0 Liter V8, the beautiful beast can leap from 0-to-60 mph in 2.8 seconds. Perhaps even more impressive, it will rocket from 0-to-124 mph in only 7.8 seconds, and tackles the quarter miles in just over 10 seconds with a top speed of 212 mph. And it does so with unparalleled control due to the innovative Proactive Chassis Control II, developed using advanced algorithms in a Cambridge University doctoral program. But don’t worry; it’s still ultimately driver-focused. Variable Drift Control allows the driver to determine the amount of drift and oversteer the traction control allows before intervening.

Twin-hinged dihedral doors sweep forward and up to an 80-degree angle for easy access to the stylish cockpit. The 720S generates 50-percent more downforce than the 650S, double the overall aerodynamic efficiency and 15-percent more efficient cooling. The integrated rear spoiler automatically adjusts to the optimal aerodynamic needs. It adapts to its most extreme airbrake angle in less than half a second to stop on a dime.

Starting at $289,000, driver engagement was clearly the focus for the design and technology behind the new 720S. But it also offers features to make this supercar supremely comfortable as a daily driver. Because even supercar drivers need storage, the 720S features best-in-class storage; static, adaptive headlights that follow the cars directions even on steep corners; and 360-degree park assist with four cameras, four front parking sensors and four rear sensors.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Dallas Unveils Black Badge Editions

Dark and moody visions of Rolls-Royce Wraith and Ghost lined the street in front of the Tipsy Alchemist off Cedar Springs in Dallas. Upstairs in the luxurious lounge, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Dallas partnered with Allie Beth Allman & Associates to host a soirée worthy of the luxurious carriages being launched.

Guests enjoyed fresh sushi and sliders while sipping craft cocktails made with ultra-premium Clase Azul Tequila and Chopin Vodka. Guests also enjoyed Peroni lagers.

A live auction raised more than $12,000 to benefit the Austin Street Center, an emergency shelter that has served Dallas’ homeless for more than 30 years.

The transformation of Rolls-Royce Ghost and Wraith into their Black Badge alter egos begins with the ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’ who changes only in color to represent the brand’s dark obsession. She mutates into a high-gloss black vamp, flying thru the glistening cityscape after dark.

Inside, the Black Badge cabin is outfitted with aluminum-threaded carbon fiber – materials most often associated with stealth aircraft. To create this beautiful and innovative material, threads of aluminum just 0.014mm in diameter (thinner than a human hair) are woven together and bonded with carbon fiber. This unique material then has six coats of lacquer applied, is left to cure for 72 hours, and then is hand-polished to a mirror finish.

On the exterior, Black Badge brings the color black to new levels of intensity. More than a dozen layers of paint and lacquer are repeatedly hand polished – the most exacting paint and polishing process ever used for a solid paint color. The result is the deepest, darkest and most intense black ever seen on a production car.

Already the most powerful Rolls-Royce in the world at 624 horsepower, Wraith is the most driver-focused Rolls-Royce ever built. Wraith Black Badge benefits from even more torque (an extra 45 lb-ft.) in addition to tweaked air suspension and subtle changes to the transmission that translates into higher revs and quicker shifting for more spirited driving while preserving the unparalleled Rolls-Royce “magic carpet” ride.

Ghost Black Badge benefits from a power increase of 40 horsepower, while upgrades to the 8-speed automatic transmission give it an added sense of urgency in how it delivers its power.
